I had a Samsung Galaxy Tab with a sim card - so in my book it is a mobile phone - but the app would not install and no reason was given. I have just replaced it with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, widely regarded as one of the top current tablets with the very latest version of Android - and again the app.

I have read other contributors who say it won't work on windows phones either. Nowhere is there a list of hardware upon which the app will, or will not, work and the instore tech people have no idea. So I don't know and Tesco don't know. I'm sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the devices we support with our banking app. As the screen for the device is bigger than the standard size for a mobile phone, our app doesn't scale to fit.
I completely understand why you would be frustrated with this though. We do want to make sure our customers can access their accounts in the way that's most convenient for them, so I'll make sure to pass on your comments about the devices we support for future consideration.

I have the same problem with the same Galaxy S2 tablet - the Tesco Mobile Banking app page on Google Play just says 'not compatible with your device'. My tablet is Android version 6. I have other apps on both phone and tablet which seem to 'scale' perfectly well with no problems at all - It would be useful if you could let us know what the timescale is for any 'future considerations' on the development of the app to enable it to be used on all or even most devices. So perhaps some action from your app developers is long overdue or will it be easier to move to another bank who has fully functioning applications across all devices?.
Thanks for getting in touch thompsi. We are always looking at how we can improve our service and the ways in which our customer's bank with us, although at the moment we don't have any timescales to advise of. When we do we'll let our customers know via the community. I have just changed to a Galaxy S2 with Android 7 and nearly one year on from the previous post it still wont download as "not compatible with device" is there any update to this issue?
